Season 2.2 - Tournament & Balance Adjustments
Driftmasters, it's great to see you all again! In this Dev Log, we're introducing the core gameplay of S2.2—the Arena Championship! This is a brand-new stage designed for all PVP enthusiasts. Of course, there will also be a series of gameplay adjustments. Please review them, Driftmasters.
New Features & Content
Features
Arena Championship Tournament
Step 1: Form Your Champion Vanguard Warband
- Tournament registration begins on the 11th day after S2.2 season starts
- In-game emails will guide you to the Tournament NPC on the right side of the Underground Bazaar
- Team: Gather 9 teammates to form an elite team of exactly 10 members led by a captain
- When registering, the team will automatically be named after the captain
- Registration: Consumes Starfall Tokens and Eclipsium
- Registration lasts for two days. Once you join a team, you cannot switch anymore
- This tournament has no Power restrictions, and there are no limits on items or Drifters
Step 2: Point Match - Fight for Honor
- Schedule: System randomly matches all teams with opponents for a total of 4 matches
- Scheduled nightly at 9 PM, temporarily replacing 'Veinhold Extraction' activity
- One match per day, lasting 4 days
- Entry: Players must go to Tournament NPC to enter. 60-second preparation time
- Flexible Participation: Join at any point during the match. Late arrivals can directly enter to support teammates
- No substitutes. Matches proceed with however many members are present
- Bye System: When total teams is odd, one team gets a random bye. System ensures no team receives bye twice
Point Match Rules and Scoring
- Gameplay: 5 Energy Towers in the field. Occupying them grants continuous points
- Defeating opponents earns direct points
- Buff Energy Orbs periodically spawn in arena. Grabbing one makes you stronger
- Victory Conditions: Match lasts 15 minutes. Team reaching 1,500 points first wins immediately
- If time runs out, team with higher score wins
- After match ends, every point earned converts into team's total score proportionally
- Total score determines ranking position
Step 3: Knockout Stage - Road to Championship
- After 4 rounds of Point Match, top 16 teams advance to single-elimination Knockout Stage
- Promotion Rules: If points tied, compare total time across 4 matches. Shorter time = higher rank
- Matchups: Rank 1 faces Rank 16, Rank 2 faces Rank 15, etc.
- Divided into two halves of bracket, ensuring high-ranked teams have early advantage
- Prevents top two teams from meeting before final
- Schedule: Takes place at 9 PM for 4 days until champion is determined
Rewards



- Public Prediction Mode: During Knockout Stage, all players can view match bracket and bet Starfall Tokens on supported teams
- Can support up to 3 teams per round
- Supporters of winning team receive rewards based on betting ratio
- Tournament Participation Rewards: All participants receive 'Tournament Chest' based on rank and performance
- Chest contains: Eclipsium, Equipment Blueprints, Warborne Crystals
- Chance to unlock exclusive tournament avatars [Celestial · Regal Lion] and avatar frames [Celestial · Starlight]
- Champion Glory: Ultimate champion team members earn exclusive dynamic avatar frame [Celestial · Star Crown]
Faction Merge

- Factions adjusted from 6 to 2: Ashen and Shroud
- After selecting faction, Driftmaster randomly drops into highlighted territory blocks on either side
- Players can proceed to capital area (dashed line area in center) to compete for faction's capital
- Overall map size remains unchanged

Warfuel Faction Contribution
- During Warfuel effect duration, the activator receives a share of Faction Contribution
Randomized Cosmetic Usage
- Mounts, Kill Effects, and Recall Effects now have randomized usage functionality
Real-Time Voice Chat
- Added real-time voice (team voice) functionality
Rollback Items
- Added rollback items for Drifter and equipment
Battle Infusion
- New Battle Infusion system added
Collector Shop
- The Collector Shop has been added, where you can purchase items exclusive to Collector Levels
Collector Experience Adjustments
- Progress made prior to update will be compensated with appropriate Collector Experience after maintenance
- Collector Experience when unlocking legendary equipment: 5 → 8
- Each level of Battle Scar Infusion on Legendary Equipment grants Collector Experience: 1 → 2
- Earn 5 Collector Experience when unlocking Epic Drifter appearance, Driftmark appearance, or Mount
- Earn 10 Collector Experience when unlocking Legendary Drifter cosmetics, Driftmark cosmetics, and Mounts

- Added a third storage tab (unlocked with an item, resets at season end)

Swarm Weaver
Scout Bug
The first enemy player hit by Basic Attack is tracked by a Scout Bug for 180s. Effect has a 60s cooldown. [Scout Bug]: Tracked targets are revealed on the map. The Scout Bug's master and their Faction can see the target (cannot be cleansed), deals an additional [Damage Rate 60%] True Damage whenever the Scout Bug caster deals Basic Attack Damage to the target (minimum interval of 0.6 seconds)
Bursting Egg
Commands a Bursing Bug to produce an egg. Detects enemies (players 10 meters/monsters 4 meters), delays for 3 seconds before exploding, dealing [Damage Rate: 500%] magic damage and knocking back enemies within range by 5 meters, stunning them for 5.5s, and notifying allied faction members on the map. Eggs last 1 hour, until exploding, or after taking 3 Basic Attacks. Up to 5 can exist at a time. Swam Weaver can detect other Bursting Eggs.

When Basic Attacks deal damage to an enemy, Dispel all Shield effects on them and deal an additiona [Damage Rate: 200%] Physical Damage, preventing them from gaining Shields for 5s. Trigger Interval: 25s.

Increases self Magic Resistance by 505 and Damage Resistance by 30% for 6s. During this time, when taking Skill Damage, deals [Damage Rate: 50%] Magic Damage to the source, applying Casting Speed Reduction of 40% and Cooldown Reduction of 40%, lasting 5s.

Move Speed increased by 65% for 5s; leaves a trail of fire along the movement path for 4s, reducing Magic Resistance of enemies entering it by 144 and dealing [Damage Rate: 50%] Magic Damage per second for 5s.

Enhanced Myconification Potion
Temporarily transform into a slow-moving fungus, Gain [Target-based Max HP 150%] Shield for 6s. After the time ends, poison surrounding enemies, Deals 216[Damage Rate: 100%] Magic Damage every second for 15s, and gain 3 stacks of Mutation. Can be used when the skill is disabled
Advanced Myconification Potion
Temporarily transform into a slow-moving fungus, Gain [Target-based Max HP 200%] Shield for 6s. After the time ends, poison surrounding enemies, Deals 292[Damage Rate: 120%] Magic Damage every second for 15s, and gain 6 stacks of Mutation. Can be used when the skill is disabled

- Skills affecting enemies with damage, DoT, debuffs, etc.: 30 → 20
- Skills affecting allies by healing, buffing, etc.: 20 → 15
- Tactical Items skill maximum target count: 15
Charge-Based Skills Auto-Refill
- Charge-based skills are filled to max stacks when player is killed, switches templates, and revives
Basic Attribute Recalibration
HP and Attack Changes
- Driftmaster Basic HP attribute growth rate with Driftmaster Level: 1.03 → 1.036
- Equipment HP attribute scaling coefficient with Power: 1.03 → 1.036
- Base Attack Power of Equipment: 90 → 105
MP Recovery Changes
- Out-of-Combat MP Recovery Speed Bonus for Driftmaster: 150% → 200%
- Driftmaster's basic MP Recovery Speed: 2.4/sec → 2/sec
Strength Attribute Effect Adjustments
- Block Value per 1 Strength: 0.5 → 0.3
- Base Damage and Healing Bonus per 1 Strength: 0.05% → 0% (Removed)
- Damage Bonus (PvP) per 1 Strength: 0% → 0.1% (New Addition)
- Damage Bonus (PvE) per 1 Strength: 0.05% → 0.1%
Skill Mechanics Adjustment
- Control effects from the same skill cast by self are subject to control mitigation, including: Stun, Freeze, Silence, Immobilize, Knockup, Sleep, Fear, Petrify, Disarm, and Charm
- Channeling skills no longer use snapshot mechanism (attributes during casting now affect damage dynamically)
- Maximum damage that can be reflected in single instance is capped and cannot exceed damage equivalent to 500% damage rate

The Dark Underworld Environmental Effect Adjustments
Mutation Effect Changes
- Each Mutation stack: Reduces Strength by 1 → Reduces Max HP by 0.5%
- Has chance to inflict [Mutation] on players, instead of Mutagenic Toxin
- Mutagenic Toxin damage: 4% of monster's max HP per second → 2% of monster's max HP per second (Damage Rate Cap: 70%)
- Chance of triggering effect on enemies per Mutation stack: 0.5% → 0.3%
- Mutagenic Toxin duration: 9s → 7s
Stack Effect Changes
- 30 stacks: [Lethargy] duration: 9s → 12s
- 50 stacks: [Vomit] effect chance: 20% → 30%
- 80 stacks: [Myconification] effect now additionally reduces Strength by 40%
Umbra Guardian Potion
- Casting time: 0.5s → 1s
- Cooldown: 1min → 10min
- Cannot mount, gather, or drag Dark Exergy Ore while under Umbra Guardian
Map Resource Adjustment
- Map resource refresh speed in main path of Dark Underworld is reduced
- Surrounding map resource refresh speed is increased
